Enyo Race Team is the Triathlon training team of Nicholas Tipper. Nick approached me to create a full identity to replace his current branding. The deliverables were to be, for the first stage of the project, a logo design, photographic style, typographic style and colour palette as well as top level graphic element design. The name is derived from the Greek Goddess of war.. The brief didn't require any reference to greek mythology, merely that it informed the tone of voice of the brand and surrounding marketing materials. After a long discussion, several key concepts were highlighted, as well as homing in on the type of client Nick was looking for.
Enyo's logo is bold, aggressive, dynamic and alludes to the key aspects of Triathlons. Wishing the logo can be seen a road or track, the flow of water and the mechanical sharpness of racing bicycles. In doing this I was able to create something ownable by avoiding cliched design references to each part of the triathlon, which has been done before. It allows the logo to stand alone as recognisable and have its own character. The colour pallette is contemporary and bold, allowing it to stand out at events and in marketing materials. The palette again reflects the dynamic and energetic nature of the brand. A photographic treatment style was created that will ensure consistency of brand messaging across all media.
